Charlotte had left the senior staff meeting, headed back to her quarters, got changed and headed off for her daily run, which was to say running a couple of laps around the ring - it was about 10K distance, she had some music playing through what passed for headphones in this century, nothing too heavy she had always been and would always be a classical music fan. As she ran through the promenade she was joined by Maddy who jogged next to her, though not in running gear.

"So this couldn't wait until I was in my office?" Charlotte asked
"You're barely ever in your office." Maddy said "You're either training or running around the galaxy."
"Ok what is it?" Charlotte said stopping to have a drink from the bottle she had at her waist.
"I'd like to borrow one of your tactical runabouts." Maddy said
"For?" Charlotte asked
"We're still mainly using Type two class shuttles with a handful of Delta Flyer types." Maddy said "We're going into the Delta Quadrant without a purpose built medical ship and we're not going to be able to build ships for a fair while out there because of the amount of material needed but we've got a better chance of being able to build small craft..."
"You want to build an ambulance." Charlotte said
"Yes." Maddy said "And if we can do that then theoretically we can build a lot more variables, but you're the one with the runabouts that are built for more than just routine away missions."

Charlotte half smiled "All right." she said "You get one for a proof of concept if it works I'll think about letting you have more. Do not make me regret this."
"When have I ever made you regret anything?" Maddy asked
"Just because it hasn't happened yet..." Charlotte said
"Never going to happen Charlotte." Maddy said
"It better not." Charlotte said
