Mission: A New Beginning

On:

Erin took a sip from her teacup before returning it to the side table she had retrieved it from. She had recently taken to reading in the upper observation deck at night after her shift, and as it was a late hour didn't have to worry about being disturbed. She found herself needing time to be alone lately after multiple sessions of handling the emotions of those she cared for. It had been taxing on her mind and she knew that she needed to be the best version of herself when meeting with patients.

She glanced up from the pages of Wuthering Heights to simply gaze out the viewport in front of her. She wished she was looking at star formations that she recognized, but she knew that they'd become familiar with time. So much had happened lately that it really was hard to fathom just how far they had come, and how much they had lost.

Now they needed to make it all worth it, and she knew that the Obsidian would do whatever necessary to survive, herself included. Her job was to make sure that the crew remained intact mentally, and while it wasn't easy- she knew that she would offer whatever she could. She had to.

Off:
