Mission: Secrets

On:

Fara was sitting in her office pouring over some new data on cell regeneration. The data was showing a possible way to increase cell repair by 30 percent, but there wasn't enough information as of that moment. She frowned, wondering if this was something she could test herself.

T'Shas was walking through the Science Department with her hands clasped behind her back. She was going around to all the Science Staff to see what was needed, since her previous assistant had changed departments.

Galaway spotted the Chief Science Officer walking by, and smiled. She stood, and approached the woman. She had transferred over to the Obsidian Station while Cruz had been on assignment and so the two had yet to meet.

"Hello," she said, "My name is Ensign Galaway, and I am your new Assistant."

T'Shas raised her right hand with her fingers showing the Vulcan salute. "Live long and prosper." After a moment she lowered her hand and clasped it behind her back again. "Where were you previously assigned?" Fara stood a little straighter, taken slightly aback by the Vulcan's straight-to-business attitude.

"I was previously onboard the USS Hathaway as the Assistant Chief Science Officer."

T'Shas nodded. "Well, welcome aboard. We have recently had the entire Department rebuilt and upgraded. What is your areas of study?"

"I studied specifically in Biology and Xenobiology, but I have extensive experience in Chemistry and Astrophysics as well."

T'Shas noodles before stating, "My fields are Stellar cartography, and Xenoanthropology. I also like to learn other languages." Fara smiled.

"I tizh-tor ik u' muhl," (I enjoy that as well) she said in the woman's language. Switching to Federation Standard, she said, "I wish I was better at it, but I learned a little Vulcan."

"Your pronunciation is adequate. I can teach you more if you wish." T'Shas said. Galaway nodded.

"I'd like that, Lieutenant. Thank you. So, what are the open projects the department is working on?"

"Everyone is working on their own projects unless the Command Staff requests specific information. I get weekly reports on their progress and offer help if it is needed." Galaway nodded, it made sense.

"Is there anything specific you need me to do?"

"Since your specialities are more geared towards the Life Sciences, you can be the point person for those crewman that work in the Life Sciences."

"That works for me, I am currently researching a few things for our Medical Department, hopefully that pans out."

T'Shas nodded. "Let me know if you need any help."

"I will," Fara said with one last smile. "It was nice to meet you, Lieutenant."

"You as well, Ensign." She says with a final nod, before heading back to her office.
