Marius stood quietly as he listened to the turbolift humming around him as he headed towards main Engineering. He knew that time was against them, and so he hoped that the Engineers would have some ideas about how to implement the Admiral's plans in a timely manner. As the doors opened, he stepped off and glanced around. It was always a swirl of activity down here, and he needed to make time to make the rounds more often. He spotted McGregor and Chambers talking by a console, and headed for them.

“Captain!” Rory spoke first. He stood beside David and waited for his chief to say something or for their commanding officer to speak. He felt something was going on, he didn’t think he had seen the captain in engineering since he came on board. Marius smiled briefly in greeting, and spoke.

"Lieutenant's," he said, "I know you're busy so I'll try to keep this brief. I wanted to stop in and see what the plan was to tackle the installs of the equipment for the stealth and warp capabilities."

Chambers looked up. "Sir. We have space for the warp cores already in the station's construction, apparently. The plans were a bit advanced in that regard. It's the stealth field generators that are going to be interesting. " Marius frowned.

"How so? And how long is this going to take to install? We need to be moving within two days."

Rory looked from one to the other. "Lieutenant Chambers has a plan already, I will assist him in getting it ready in time." He liked the engineering chief. He wasn't all about rules and protocol and they worked well together.

"Good," Marius said. He glanced at the younger man. Rory seemed intelligent and capable, and he was glad that David had him to assist. "Grab whatever help you need. This is our top priority. It has to be done quickly and correctly."

Chambers put the base's schematics up on the overhead monitor. " The units are going to have to be deployed from the bottom of the station up. Seven crews, around-the-clock . Good thing is, there are interior access points scattered all over the infrastructure. We'll have to couple shield generators with them." Marius glanced at the schematics for a moment, and then nodded.

"Thankfully it looks like they ready started some of the work 20 years ago. This is their data we are using, so we should just be able to finish what they've started."

Chambers nodded. "Of course, we'll have to add pylons and latticework at points on the lower parts of the station to minimize stress fractures and shearing even with shiels generation. Moving at warp speeds with a station this size will be a daunting task regardless. However, I think I see how they envisioned the feat."

"I'm glad you see the way, and that you've already started. The Ops department will be available, and our Chief of the Boat. I want all hands on this, Lieutenant."

Rory listened as they spoke. "You can count on us." He said quietly. "We will get this done." His eyes then went to his Chief. "I will work diligently beside you to see that we succeed, Sir."

Chambers nodded. "With all due haste. The forward rings have what looked like the start of a framework of...something to them. I thought it might have been a guide for more pods, but we could use it to attach warp field generation equipment and shield emitter systems while we work on the stealth nodes."

"Excellent." Marius was pleased that that at least was taken care of. "You have your timeline, and what I expect. I know you and your team are more than up to the task. The away team is about to depart, so we need to be mobile asap." Marius looked at both men, and gave a half smile. He knew that it would be tough, and that everyone would be worked extremely hard, but he knew that they could do it. His crew was dedicated, efficient, and competent.
With a nod, he turned and headed back the way he had come; there was still a lot of work to do before the base was moved.
