Mission: A Leap of Faith
Location: Aurora's Quarters and Science Department

After leaving the XO’s office Aurora made her way to medical to be cleared for duty. Once that was done she located her quarters, checked out of guest quarters and made her way to her quarters. After keying in the temporary access code promptly changed it. She had only a few things to unpack. Not much to show for her time with Starfleet. But considering what she’d been through, things were easily replaceable.

After a short time unpacking, arranging things in her quarter which included arranging her few house plants that had survived. Aurora picked up the case containing her microscope, left her quarters and made her way to the science offices. Once there she stood in the doorway watching the officers who would be working and serving with her.

After a couple of minutes Aurora walked the rest if the way into the science department, "I'm Lieutenant Aurora Winters, I'm new here. I'm the new chief science officer. I'm sure we've got some adjusting to do. I know you don't know me and I don't know you all. Please bear with me while we get to know each other. I'm not hard to get along with."

"I'm Ensign Casper, lieutenant, I think I can speak for everyone in saying welcome to the starbase. We've been too long without a chief. Your office is in the back and there are about fifty PADD's on your desk with our reports on them," the young man said.

There were shouts of welcome aboard from everyone in the department.

Thanking everyone Aurora headed back to where her new office was, As Casper had said the desk was full of not only PADD's but layers of dust as well. Setting the case containing her microscope on a shelf. Aurora set to work cleaning the office.

After a couple hours of cleaning and arranging things Aurora took a seat at her desk, opened the lap top and logged in marking her officially in charge of the science department. Picking up the first PADD, which was the bottom one Aurora set to work reading it and making notations on what was in the report.
