Mission: Obsidian

Jordan stopped at science, almost buzzed but just walked in. This was his style, he wasn’t much for knocking. What was the point they both knew he would just come in anyway.

T'Shas heard the door swish open from her her consol in the open bay. She turns to look at who had entered her domain. She saw the Commander, who was a few inches taller than herself.

"Lieutenant Cruz." Jordan states. "I am here to meet with you. We haven't met before and I would like to assess what you need for your office and also get to know our science chief."

T'Shas nodded and picked up a PADD with the data that Ensign Couldis and herself had collected. She walks over to the Commander and handed him the PADD. "This is a list of what needs repaired, what equipment and supplies that are needed to be acquired in order for the Department to run efficiently."

“You are using quarters in the ship until we have some livable aren’t you?” Jordan said with a frown. “It won’t be too long but right now it is safer there than here.”

"I have only been to the ship for my required physical. I have been on the Station trying to get my Department up and running. However, since the CMO put me on limited duty, I will have to go back to the quarters on the ship as quarters on the station have not been provided. "

“I am glad to see you went and got your physical completed.” Jordan said. “A lot of people avoid them but the hay have a purpose.” He paused. “Is the counselor helping with all you went through as a prisoner?”

"I have scheduled time to see the counselor, as it has been ordered by the CMO. I am still trying to get used to being back."

“So you haven’t seen her yet?” Jordan frowned. He would have thought Marty would have seen her already, considering all she has been through. Jordan would head to her office and speak with her next. He had been there earlier and should have mentioned it.

"No sir, I have not. I have had other things on my mind at the present time."

"What about medical?" Jordan asked her. "Have you had a physical yet?" He waited impatiently for her answer. He cared about his crew and with what she had been through he wanted to know she was fit for duty.

"I am limited to 4 hours of duty, have to eat off of a meal plan until my weight gets back to what it was before I was captured. I have an appointment set with the counselor. I have allowed the Doctor to discuss my condition with you and the Captain, if it is needed. I am currently in the beginning stages of Pon Farr."

Jordan’s eyes widened. “I see.” He knew a little bit about it. “Do you have to go home and see your mate?” He knew some about what this meant.

T'Shas shook her head. "We are too far from Vulcan and both my daughter and husband were killed on Starbase 24. The Doctor is looking at options."

"That is good." Jordan nodded. "If there is something myself or Captain Pontmercy can do, let us know." He didn't really know what but maybe she would have to take a temporary leave or something. He had read somewhere that Vulcans could go mad or die during pon farr if they did not have sex. He hoped she didn't think he was volunteering himself or Marius. That would cross lines. They were command and she served under them.

"I read your file and it said that you had been a security officer. Is there a program you would recommend? I would much rather fight than choose a mate." T'Shas asked.

"I know of quite a few." Jordan nodded. "I will program them into the holodeck and you can feel free to use them as needed." He wondered if she had intercourse on the holodeck if that would work but he wasn't going to ask her as it seemed unlikely or she would have thought of it herself.

T'Shas nodded. "Thank you. Once this is over, if you ever need a sparing partner, I would be available."

"I may take you up on that one day soon." Jordan said seriously. "Sometimes it helped to burn some energy."

"Agreed. The Romulan only let me out of the cell for interrogation and torture. The cell was small but I still tried to keep in shape practicing Suus Mahna." T'Shas stated.

"They can be very cruel." Jordan nodded. "I spent some time in a Romulan prison with some crew mates when I was on Ghost Station. I know the pain they give out." He wouldn't talk about what they went through or how he had felt."

"I am almost done with four hour shift. I will see about seeing the counselor early." T'Shas said as she glanced at the clock on the wall near the door.

"Let me be clear." Jordan said firmly "You are off duty until the counselor clears you as of right now." He pulled his rank card. "I will notify her to contact me once she clears you. Understood?"

"Aye sir, understood sir." T'Shas said as she stood up straighter. "Is there anything else that you wish to discuss or am I dismissed, sir?"

“Yes.” Jordan grinned. “However, it is me doing the leaving, I came to see you.” He stood up. “I am messaging the counselor, make certain she notifies me the minute you are clear. If you don’t, security will not allow you to return to work.” He knew she must be annoyed but he didn’t want her collapsing or something worse happens.
