Mission: Obsidian
Location: Admiral Bradley's Office on the Obsidian

ON:

Aurelia had been on the station for a few weeks. She had her restaurant all set, it was opening in the next few days. This was the perfect assignment for her. She had many memories of cooking Mexican food with her grandmother and mother growing up. At the same time she could do her job and no one would be the wiser.

Making her way through the base, she kept out of sight, careful so that most people would ignore her or not even see she was there. When she reached the offices of the admiralty, it became tricky but she patiently waited for an opportunity and slipped in, walking along until she found Admiral Bradley’s office. She thought of knocking but instead let herself in.

“Admiral Bradley.” Aurelia said quietly, “Lieutenant Steele reporting.” She almost smiled at the way his head jerked up, he had been concentrating on his work. General Jackson hated how quiet she was and how she often she did this.

Chris jumped in his chair. "Lord. If you give me a heart attack, Dakota will kill you." He stood and smiled. "At Ease Lieutenant." He pointed to a seat. "Have a seat. I trust all has been well in the restaurant business."

Aurelia took a seat and smiled. “We open the day after tomorrow.” Her eyes were on Chris. “I’ve already made contact with a couple questionable business owners. This is an excellent cover, no one suspects a thing.”

Chris nodded. "I knew we chose the right person for the job. I'm about to start things off here slowly. Keep your eyes and ears opened. Don't forget no one knows your true identity except a really good cook." He said smiling.

Aurelia smiled back. “No one will know who I am.” She fell silent for a moment. “I know the price well if it leaked out.”

Chris pulled out a padd. "Tell me who you've met so far and what your next plan is."

“Let’s start with the owners of the bakery.” Aurelia said quietly. “In all appearances a sweet
old couple from Colony 47.” Her eyes glittered. “The colony was abandoned over a decade ago and they have gotten a lot of shipments for a bakery. I am working on them to get close enough to discover what they are really doing here.”

Chris jotted down notes. "Nothing on where the shipments are coming from yet? That's good. Who else is set up so far?"

“The Ferengi store owner.” Aurelia replied. “He will be harder to crack, he trusts no one but he has said some things that don’t add up here and there. It’s never easy but I will find the answers.”

"Look into the barkeep as well. I'm not sure yet about them. But that is a good place to hear loose lips as well. But of course you know that." Chris said making a mental note to go down there himself. "With your restaurant, I'm sure that you'll get crew too. There are a few I trust here..." He went into a drawer and pulled out another padd. "Here is a list." He said sliding it over to her.

“I will.” Aurelia nodded. “I have a bar and serve drinks as well as serve Mexican food. I’ve already had inquiries for when I open.” She paused. “It’s expected that fleet officers will stop by. If they don’t it draws even more suspicion.”

"Dakota and I will come for dinner when you open. I'm sure my nephew will also go as he loves Mexican food." Chris said smiling.

“I will look forward to it.” Aurelia smiled at him as she stood. “I chose this time when most are still in their quarters or sleeping so I can safely slide in and out. With your permission I will head back and get ready for our opening.”

Chris nodded. "When most are sleeping I'm always working. Sleep is a rare thing now a days." He looked at Aurelia. "You are dismissed." He watched as she nodded and left his office.

"Good Luck." he said
