Mission: Obsidian

ON:

Jordan sat, waiting for Celine and Marty to arrive. He had made the office look more like something you would find a pirate in, as well as changed into different clothing. If they were going to act the part, they needed to look it.

Celine was pulling her hair through a rubber band as she walked through the door. She normally wore it down, so she felt strange with this style, but knew it would be better to keep it off of her face. She had thrown on a shirt and pants, and a dark coat that hung past her shins, As she entered, she smiled formally at Jordan, and took a seat.

Marty smiled nervously as she walked in wearing a black miniskirt with a shear crop top and knee high boots. “Guess this is appropriate enough attire?”

Jordan had to remind himself that Celine was Joel’s wife and Marty was a coworker and friend. They both looked hot but he wasn’t going there. “You both look like badass pirate women, just talk tough and don’t back down they see weakness suspiciously.” He looked around. “There isn’t one thing in here that will make it look like a starship so we’re good to go. Let’s hail the surface and trade them a marine commander.”

“Hope this works,” Marty mumbled as she moved next to Celine.

“You’re both going to have to bring out your inner badass.” Jordan said seriously. “You two will be leading this negotiation, I will be your muscle.”

"Shut up and make the call," Celine growled, getting into character. She snapped her fingers, and pointed at the viewscreen.

“See that is what I’m talking about.” Jordan grinned.
“I’m not the negotiator here, you two are. I’m more of a hand him over or I’ll gut you person,” he made the call, waiting for an answer. “You do the talking.”

Celine nodded, years of experience masking her nervousness. She was a Diplomat, this was a negotiation. The three of them could do this. She leaned back in her chair, adopting a careless attitude, and waited for the call to be answered.

The viewscreen flickered and a figure appeared. The Astralon Pirate leader appeared He is tall and muscular, standing at around 6'5". His skin has a deep blue hue, characteristic of the Astralon species, and his eyes are a piercing yellow, glowing with intensity. His face is marked with several scars, a testament to his many battles and skirmishes. He wears elaborate, battle-worn armor adorned with various trophies from his conquests, including fragments of Starfleet insignia. His presence is further enhanced by his stern, unyielding expression and the aura of authority he exudes. "What do you want Starfleet?"

Celine laughed bitterly.

"Starfleet? There is no one from Starfleet here. That pathetic lot has taken enough of the galaxy without our help, thank you. My name is Callas, these are my companions, Jakko," she said pointing at Jordan, "and Mara," she said indicating Marty. "What is your name?"

"I am known here as Prime. That is all you need to know." the Pirate said. "Again I ask... Callas... what do you want?"

“We’re here to do some trading.” Jordan growled. “We have something of interest and want to see if you have anything worth our while.” Celine watched the man on the screen, he seemed cocky, but almost overly so. She wondered what he was hiding.

"If you are too busy, we can always take our business elsewhere," she said with a hard glint in her eye.

"You came to me. You think I am stupid? " Prime replied. "What do you have. Yet again I ask what do you want?" The look in Celine's eyes grew cold at his words.

"We have a valuable prisoner, and we would like to get rid of her, at a decent price or trade," she said. She did not want to sound too eager, and so she did not come out and say what they actually wanted. She looked at Marty and nodded. "Tell him about our....guest."

“She's a Starfleet Marine,” Marty said with a sneer. “If you’re interested, make us a deal!” Celine looked cooly back at the Pirate, to see what he would say to this.

"I have one of those. Why do I need another?" Prime said. "You all are boring - trying to get rid of your trash to me. Not even asking for anything. For female Marine - maybe I give you a ship." Celine laughed.

"We already have a ship, now who is giving away their trash? We have come looking to buy, but not for anything specific. We were told you were the person to see if we wanted to shop, and so far it is extremely underwhelming." She paused. "You say you already have another Marine, who do you have? Depending on their crimes against the Federation that could be extremely interesting."

"Who are you calling underwhelming. This conversation is getting near it's end." Prime said getting angry. "This male. Look like Wolverine. Has lots of knowledge that we are trying to get from him. Seems to be a boss. We like knowledge."

Jordan laughed harshly. “If it’s someone important he isn’t going to talk. It’s more likely someone will be coming after him and you will all be serving in a penal Colony. Best to unload him quickly.”

“We would be willing to take him off your hands for the right price,” Marty said with a grin. “We have ways of making people disappear if you know what I mean.” Celine pursed her lips, appearing to be in thought.

"What about someone who oversaw the stabilization of the omega particle," she countered?"

Another Pirate came over to Prime and could be seen whispering to him. Prime looked at him and said something in their language. He looked at the screen. "You said Female? Did you mean Human female?"

"It's possible," Celine said, seeing his interest.

Jordan let an easy lecherous grin cross his faces “she is one hundred percent woman and does she know how to satisfy a man. I almost hate giving her up.” His eyes met the pirates. “The only thing is she needs to be tamed. She has a mouth on her like a damn sailor. If you like the rough stuff, she’s perfect.” Jordan knew most pirates lived for the fight. “If you are a man who knows how to do it right, once you get past all her bluster she will howl like a wolf with pleasure.” He hoped like hell Charlotte didn’t hear about this, he might be a dead man.

Prime looked at Jordan. “No you misunderstand - we don’t want for that. We want for other reasons. Not to concern you. We take human female. Come to these coordinates. Don’t be late. We bring man.” Prime disconnected the call.

“That was a line of bullshit if I ever heard one.” Jordan shook his head. “They’re afraid we’re going to think they are too eager.” He looked from Celine to Marty. “What was said here, stays here. If I even think you said a word there will be hell to pay.” Celine shrugged.

"We had a job to do and you sold it, that's how I see it," she said.

“Same here,” Marty giggled.

Jordan laughed easily. “Now we have the hard part. Making sure we pull this off without any complications.” He felt good about it but he’d feel better when it was over with.

"So I guess now we tell the others, and get this over with," Celine said.

“Yes.” Jordan nodded. “I’ll Calle everyone together to meet in the shuttle at and tell them to dress accordingly and to get a weapon from Jude.” They headed out to get ready.
