Mission: Obsidian
On:
Jordan boarded the ship wearing a pair of blue jeans and a tshirt with a 70s rock band on it from old Earth history. There wasn’t really a dress code for smugglers or pirates you dressed to please yourself. He saw that he was the first to board but then the ship had been early, he had quickly changed and headed there, wanting to check it out.
This was Jordan’s ship once upon a time. He had had it refitted to more modern conveniences but when he had finally decided that he was all Starfleet now, he had convinced his buddies to start a new life and sent the ship for some upgrades and had it in safe keeping with some friends. He smiled as he took a seat and waited for the others to arrive.
Celine was the next to board, dressed in a maroon top and the same long black coat from the previous mission. She had to admit that she was quickly getting attached. She wore black jeans and tall black boots to finish off the look, going for a dark, yet serious vibe. She set her bag down and took a seat, nodding at Jordan.
T'Shas arrived next, dressed in black jeans and a long sleeved dark blue shirt. Her long black hair was in a braided ponytail. She sat her bag down and nodded to the others.
Marty boarded the ship along with Ritt who was dressed in Cardassian style uniform. “Figured this would be appropriate for a pirate ship,” he said taking a seat.
"You want to wear a Cardassian uniform on the Klingon homeworld?" Hannah asked from where she was stringing what looked like a fairly sophisticated longbow, she was wearing black from head to foot "Not the best idea."
Charlotte stepped aboard as might be expected she had her black jeans, boots, pale blue t-shirt and black leather jacket on, she was fixing a pair of bracers to her arms. "What on earth did you call this thing back in the day?" she asked.
Celine was nervous, but at least they had a plan. She was worried about how things would go down on the Klingon homeworld, but she supposed that was one of the reasons she was on this particular away team. Thankfully she was trained for this, and she was hoping for a good outcome.
Jude walked in wearing a pair of black jeans with a tshirt that depicted his country music upbringing. He nodded to the others and found a seat. Looking around he saw that most everyone was dressed as if they were smugglers or the like.
“We’re waiting on Helmsley and Andrews.” Jordan said to Charlotte.
“If I am correct.”
"Yep." Charlotte said "How long do you want to give it before we send Jude to find them?"
Jordan grinned. “Five minutes.” He looked over at his nephew. “He is not going to like that much but he will do it.”
Amanda came rushing in. "Sorry I'm late. I had to go over some details with Lt Cmdr McMahon." She carried her medical supplies and bag and put them down.
Yujas had left the shuttle to quickly change and returned after Amanda came rushing in. “Is this better?” he said with a wry grin at Hannah. Dressed in black pants and a black shirt with a leather jacket, he retook his seat.
“While we are waiting for our flight officer let’s discuss the mission.” Jordan spoke up.
“Any questions about what we are about to do?”
Andrews came sauntering in, eyebrow cocked and cigar hanging from his lips. " 'Ey, wots this hunk o' crap doin' 'ere? Ah'm flyin' this deathtrap??" He was dressed in dungarees and a dirty striped tee. A leather vest and skullcap with workboots completed his look as he flung his duffel behind the pilot's seat.
"Yep you are." Charlotte said she looking at Jordan "As time's of the essence and now that we're all here I suggest we get underway and then do questions."
Celine watched as Jordan agreed and gave the order for the vessel to depart. Several moments later he returned and looked at those gathered. "Like I said," he repeated, "any questions?"
"Hannah what do we know about this Sa’ K’Rath?" Charlotte asked
"Living Klingon legend, Dahar master which basically means famed warrior and regarded as high ranked, influential so likely can open doors for us." Hannah said
"How's your Klingon Celine?" Charlotte asked
As conversation continued there was the unmistakeable slight throw or surge forwards as the ship entered warp heading for the Klingon homeworld. It was one thing to chase an enemy across Federation space, it was another entirely to do it on the homeworld of an ally, especially when not knowing the full picture of what they were going up against or attempting to prevent. It was their job to neutralise the threat, however discovering the precise nature of the threat was either going to be their own estimate or communicated by the Captain, after all whatever this was had clearly been planned so someone somewhere had to know exactly what was about to happen. In any event the clock was now ticking.
