ON:

Jordan walked towards Pontmercy's office. He felt like everytime he turned around he was on his way back. He had been busy getting furniture for Marius' office. It wasn't hard to get in delivered but he was being picky. He couldn't find the exact desk Marius had before but he found a sister to it and it was on the way. Jordan knew how much that antique desk had meant and he wanted him to have another. It was the little things in life he looked for. Under his arm he carried a small bakery box, meant for Mike. He couldn't wait to see the surprise on his face when he opened it.

Walking in as he always did, he saw that McMahon had beaten him. "Captain." He said to Marius. The man had earned his respect, Jordan didn't give it to many. His eyes then went to McMahon. "Mike, on my way here, I took a little detour." He held out the box. "Dakota said if I didn't hand deliver these I would pay." He grinned. "The woman scares me."

"Sit down, both of you," Marius said with a laugh.

Jordan was glad when Mike took the box and they both sat down. He had been babying that box since he had headed here. Those cookies were precious cargo and not one would get broke on his watch. Looking over he could see Mike was contemplating whether to wait or just eat one of them.

Mike laughed. "I'm not exactly sure why both my Aunt and Uncle think I don't eat. She sends cookies - he sends other food. I do eat."

He looked at the two of them. "May I be so bold as to say - I'm glad the band is back together. I loved serving with you Captain and learning from you. We are a family and this is a great reunion. Anything you need on the Arcadia, I can help you with."

“I have a desk coming for him.” Jordan spoke up. “I’ll send you the info for when it gets here. I’m going to be helping with security. How about you see if we can get the quarters stocked and their showers operational, the things that make their quarters livable.” Marius shook his head...he thought he has talked Jordan out of that.

"I'm glad you're both here. It's good having familiar faces around, especially with all that's going on in the quadrant."

"I agree and I'm glad to be here. The crew is a good one. We've worked with a lot of them before. " Mike said.

Jordan grinned . “That makes three of us but I’m not admitting it out there. I have to keep my reputation intact, you know.”

Mike nodded. "Shall I suggest a quick run through of what has been going on, and then a quick tour ending with a stop at the ship's bar?" Marius smiled slightly, but shook his head.

"No bar for me, at least not right now. But as for what's going on, as of right now you both know as much as I do. Starfleet has seemed to get even more tight-lipped as this war progresses. Have either of you heard anything?"

“No.” Jordan shook his head. “But then I was hurrying to get here. I figured it would be in bad shape, when do they ever make things easy on us.”

"I know nothing, which isn't unusual, however - we have three admirals we all know quite well. Perhaps we could have them come by for dinner?" Mike said.

“I doubt your Uncle Chris will be on board at least until we have the area secure.” Jordan replied. “ He is a bit protective, remember the time I raised my voice?”

Mike nodded. "He wants nothing to happen to anyone. I still remember him in the back of the jeep on that planet shooting people while Admiral Talbot and Olvera were driving away." Mike thought some more. "Well the quicker we get this place up and running, the quicker we might have answers."

"Our Chief of the Boat seems to think that this will be a 5 month repair," Marius said. "As long as we have shields and weapons I will sleep easier. The other things will come."

“I’ll get Jude on it.” Jordan said with a nod. “And I’ll be helping as well. Like you said, we need them as soon as possible.” He felt the same way.

"I want Medical and Sciences to submit their supply lists as quickly as possible as well. We do not know what we are going to face in the coming months, and we need those departments ready at a moments notice." The Captain was not willing to sacrifice in those areas. They would be stocked and ready.

“Do you think you could do that Mike?” Jordan replied. “I’ll have counseling and intelligence covered.” He wanted to have a sit down with Marty and L’Var.”

“Not a problem. I have to meet with medical anyway and give her my license so I can assist when needed. I forgot to do that when I first got on the ship.” Mike said. Marius sat back and let the two talk for a moment. He appreciated having Command Staff who knew enough about what he wanted to just jump in and get it done.

"I'll be getting on a call today with Admiral Harrison and see what we can do about support staff, and when they will be assigning us more crew."

"Also physicals need to be taken care of." Jordan spoke up with a sigh. "I know everyone hates them but if they haven't had one then now is the time." He hated going but he had long ago decided not to fight the system. Marius frowned, not something he really wanted to do.

"You are probably right," he admitted. "I guess when you meet with Medical, Mike, you can set up a rotational schedule."

"Sounds like a plan. I'll take care of it. We can start with the Captain and the XO to show support." Mike said grinning. Marius glowered at him for a moment, and then shook his head ruefully.

"Now I have two smart-asses on board," he groaned.

“We are good friends.” Jordan grinned .”I taught him everything I know.” He looked over to Mike. “Sign me up, I expect you to be right behind us.”

"In fact, I insist," Pontmercy said with a small smile.

Mike laughed. "Of course. If I'm going to assist in medical I have to be a good boy... for now."

Jordan laughed at the words. “Good boy? That is funny.” He looked to the captain. “We have to find humor where we can.” His eyes then went to Mike. “I can go today if you can see if she will fit me in later in the day. I have some work to do first.”

"As do I," Marius said. "A large pile of it," he said, looking at the data padds strewn across his desk.

"I'll actually go first. To set the example... and because I have to meet with the CMO anyway." Mike grinned."It's good to work with you all again"

"Same." Jordan nodded. "How about we meet tomorrow morning and catch up on how we are all doing?" He felt like they should keep in contact so everyone knew what was current.

"I think that's a good idea," Pontmercy said in agreement. "I like the idea of us keeping in contact, anyways. As Senior Staff, we should all be in the loop at all times."

Jordan nodded. “How about a breakfast meeting?” Jordan suggested. “In the Arcadia where we are sure the coffee will be coffee?”

"Yes.... I do NOT trust the replicators here yet," Marius said dourly. He was not going to be a happy camper without his coffee.

Jordan wrote a quick note on his pad to get the replicator in the captains office working right away. They were not going to be getting him coffee off the Arcadia indefinitely. Not that Marius would ask or expect them to but Jordan was going to speak to his yeoman and make certain it happened for now. “I was thinking we need a chef here. I know we will have restaurants eventually but it would be good to have our own as well. It would be nice to have that choice and not just the replicator or restaurants.”

"I think that's a good ide, at least until the promenade is up and running. We can have designated meal shifts to make it easier on whoever Starfleet sends us. I am thinking about ordering a small crew to take the Arcadia and just do defensive patterns around the base until we have shields running. I'm not sure that's practical, but even as far as we are from the front lines I don't trust that we won't see activity."

"I'm going to be interested in how engineering is handling this all with the repairs. There is a lot. I've got some ideas of shifts for people for repairs and meals. I'll also check in with Morale, I think the COB should be handling that. We've got a lot of work to do and I can see Morale getting low." Mike said making notes. "And a meeting is good as long as I have coffee."

"Alright, " Marius said. "Sounds like we have our assignments and a plan. Anything else?"

"No I'm good." Mike replied. Marius nodded, and the looked at Haines.

"Commander, " he asked?

“I am good as well.” Jordan said with a nod. “I’ll be heading on my way.” He stood up and headed to the door.
