Post Number 89: Meeting with the Counselor

Location: Counselor's Office

T'Shas exited the Science Department after being relieved of duty by Commander Haines. She goes directly to the Counselor's office and chimes the door. She is trying to keep her emotions under control as much as she can at the moment.
Marty had just finished reading the message from Jordie about T”Shas when her door buzzed letting her know someone was there. “Come,” Marty said mere seconds before the door opened and the Vulcan woman stepped inside her office. “I’ve been expecting you,” she said with a nod. “Have a seat.”
T'Shas sat down on one of the chair, her back straight and said, "Commander Haines ordered me to see you. I want to thank you for rescuing me from the Romulans."
“Your with Starfleet, there was no other option,” Marty said with a slight smile. “Why did Haines order you to see me?”
"I need to see a counselor because I have been a prisioner for 3 years. If I am to be allowed on duty I need to be cleared by you." T'Shas said.
“That’s true enough,” Marty said softly. “How did you become their prisoner?”
"I had been stationed on Starbase 24 and was on a scientific mission off station. They overwhelmed our away team and captured us." T'Shas stated.
“What happened to the rest of the away team?” Marty asked curiously.
"Eventually they were all killed. But about an hour after we were captured I felt the bonds I shared with my husband and daughter break." T'Shas looked at the counselor. "Starbase 24 was attacked and they had been killed."
“I’m sorry,” Marty said quietly. “It must have been hard to be so alone in that cell, can’t imagine what you went through. But you’re here now, we’re a family and you’re now apart of that family.”
T'Shas nodded. "Yes. I am still finding my way around this situation. I get out of being a prisioner and now have to deal with Pon Farr."
“How far into it are you?” Marty asked quietly.
"First couple of days. I have decided that I'm going to use the holodeck and fight to get rid of the blood fever." T'Shas stated.
“Good idea as there aren’t many more options I can think of at the moment,” Marty said in quiet understanding. “You understand I can’t clear you for duty until after, right?”
T'Shas nodded. "I understand. Commander Haines wanted you to contact him when after you met with me."
“I certainly will,” Marty said with a nod. “If you need anything, I can make myself available to you anytime.”
"I appreciate that. I should head back to my quarters and mediate. Am I free to go?" T'Shas asked.
“Yes,” Marty said with a nod. T'Shas stood up and left the Counselor's office.
